FOUR trophies changed hands as Brimfield and Little Hereford Bowling Club staged its second finals day of the season.

It was the turn of the teams this time and match of the day came in the Tandler Pairs competition when Eileen and Richard Powell forged an early lead against Richard and Barbara Griffiths.

It was a different story in the latter stages as the Griffiths pair got the upper hand to take the title 25-16.

In the John Collett triples skip Stan Beale produced one of his best games of the season, leading Ian Ferguson and Richard Powell to victory 20-14 against Barbara Beale, Bob Hughes and Jennie Cole.

The game was close throughout, with some superb bowling from both sides.

Rosie Sheridan picked up her second pairs title in the Albert Duval competition, partnering Alec Tandler to a comfortable 16-7 win against Karen Tandler and Andra Proctor.

It was short but sweet for Bob Hughes, Dave Evans and Jennie Cole in the eight ends Cecil O’Boyle, the trio easing home 12-5 against Peter Martin, Liz Smurthwaite and Craig Webb.

l Ross Golf Club's Ladies' section also held the finals of their Summer Knockout Competitions.

There were six final ladies rounds on the day.

The winner of the 36-hole Ladies Club Championship was Rhian McGinley who had a close fought match with ladies captain Sally Fycun, won on the 36th hole.

The winner of the 18-hole Summer Knockout Competition was Sue Johnson who won on the 18th hole against runner-up Ruth Kirchmeier.

The nine-hole Summer Knockout Competition was won by Erika Atkins who claimed victory against runner up Denise Laird.

This result was reversed however in the Senior Ladies Knockout Competition when Laird claimed victory.

The Bronze Scratch Cup winner was Audrey Causon who beat runner-up Helen Shaw.

Finally, the Hugget Putter Ladies Competition was won by Dinah Johnston.
