A new picture showing how five of The Arches could look after a multi-million-pound drastic transformation has been revealed.

The artists' impression showed how four of the five vacant arches could soon be vibrant new spaces ready for local businesses to set up shop.

And a tweet by The Arches Worcester revealed that they could be completed as soon as the early New Year.

Workmen were busy at the site today finishing off fitting the metal frames to each of the five entrances.

Once this has been done, they'll be ready for the addition of the modern glass windows and doors shown in the impression.

Worcester News:

The work is part of the £4.5 million project to create a new key gateway for the city, with a foot and cycle path created following the line of the Victorian arches, linking Worcester Foregate Street station to The Hive and the River Severn.

Work started in April to refurbish and convert several of the city’s railway arches into studios and workspaces for local artists and creative businesses.

Several businesses have already moved or will be moving into the Arches including an axe throwing venue, sandwich deli, barbers, noodle bar and a pizzeria.
