SMALL but perfectly formed might be a good way to describe the Worcester-based letterbox gifts business Ash & Malt.

The business, set up by Jade Ebony Brooks just under a year ago on the etsy platform, celebrates its first anniversary next month and as a mark of its progress, has just gone live on Notonthehighstreet.com

Ash & Malt creates gift boxes using beautifully selected products from other small businesses – and had a challenging start to life, as Jade explains.

“After three days of launching on Etsy we had a message from a lady asking if we did corporate orders.

“We had only had a couple of sales at this point but she ended up purchasing over 500 as the business she worked for wanted to sent them out to their employees for Christmas!

“We started this little business as I was working at the hospital and it was such a tough tough time for so many people not being able to see their friends and family.

“I just wanted to be help for people connect, a way to show ‘I miss you’ through a beautiful little gift.

“We often get a lot of customers who have been or know someone that has been through a very tough time. We’ve had amazing feedback and support from our customers and have been told we’ve spread a lot of joy over such a hard year.”
