A DRIVER who ran over a police officer leaving him injured has been sent to prison.
Dreece Dayil was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on Friday (October 22) for five offences.
They included running over a roads policing officer and breaking his foot.
It followed an incident on the A449 near to junction 6 of the M5 on Friday, September 17.
The 25-year-old of All Saints Road, Wolverhampton was sent to prison for 33 months.
He was also disqualified from driving for three years plus extension period of 530 days with an extended retest.
Dayil was originally charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving without valid insurance, driving while disqualified, assaulting an emergency worker and obstructing police.
