Three 16-year-old boys have been charged with burglary after they allegedly broke into a house in Droitwich and stole a car while the owners were sleeping.

The teenagers are said to have entered the property in the early hours of the morning on Thursday, October 21, stealing the car before driving away.

They were also charged with the theft of a motor vehicle, while the driver was charged with driving without a licence and insurance.

All three have been remanded to appear in court today.

A spokesman from South Worcestershire Proactive CID, said: "In the early hours of the 21st October 2021 a Burglary occurred at a residential property in Droitwich.

"Three offenders entered the property whilst the occupants were asleep in bed and stole a vehicle.

"Detectives have charged three sixteen-year-old males with this offence.

"All were also charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle, and the driver charged with driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and no insurance.

"All three have been remanded to appear at court today."
