A BUSINESS park near Droitwich is set to double in size.

Potter Space is extending its site in the town to more than 470,000 sq ft over the next five years.

Covering 38 acres, the business park currently has around 286,000 sq ft of industrial units and warehouses.

The developer plans to start work on the first phase of the development in spring next year, which will comprise four units totalling around 105,000 sq ft.

Head of commercial delivery at Potter Space, Jenna Strover, said: “The company has traded successfully for more than 50 years and, during that time has created an impressive estate extending to 250 acres, with 1.6 million square feet of units across the five business parks.

“We are now really looking forward to embarking on the next stage of our exciting journey to deliver the ambitious development strategy in Droitwich, while continuing to provide our existing customers with a first-class service.”

In addition, Potter Space will also be enhancing the existing amenity space on site to improve the experience of people working there.

This will include extending the existing attractive landscaping and picnic areas, and creating nature walks close by.

In the summer of 2021 it also improved its biodiversity with the introduction of its own beehives.

To jointly market the new units, Potter Space has appointed local property agents, Fisher German and Harris Lamb.

Rob Champion of Fisher German said: “We continue to receive a significant number of enquiries for industrial units of various sizes in the region.

"Potter Space has the benefit of being in the heart of the West Midlands and within easy access of the M5, M40 and M6.

"The other advantage is that companies can work closely with Potter Space to build their own unit to their own specification and know that they will be delivered a high quality environmentally friendly building."
