1. Venture In, Ombersley

The delightful village of Ombersley is where you will find the Venture In

What the Michelin Guide says: "A hugely characterful black and white timbered house with 15C origins and a large inglenook fireplace in the bar. Cooking is classically based but has modern overtones and there’s always a good choice of specials available."

2. Pensons at the Netherwood Estate, Tenbury Wells

Pensons calls itself an ingredient-led restaurant and with a Michelin Star to its name the restaurant on the beautiful Netherwood Estate is definitely worth a visit.

What the Michelin Guide says: "The concise, daily changing menu comprises classically inspired dishes with modern overtones and an unfussy, pared-back style: flavour is to the fore, contrasts are sophisticated and there’s good balance between the courses. The delicious bread is a must and service is endearing."

3. Eckington Manor, Eckington

A beautiful manor house on the edge of The Cotswolds, Eckington Manor is the perfect place to enjoy amazing food and picturesque views.

What the Michelin Guide says: "You’ll find this proudly run 13C manor house and its collection of characterfully converted barns located on a 300 acre farm. Attractive modern dishes showcase local ingredients in ambitious combinations – and for those who want to get hands-on there’s a cookery school. Bedrooms are stylish."

4. The Inn at Welland

Perhaps after a walk across the Malvern Hills to work up and appetitie you could enjoy a meal at the Inn at Welland.

The Inn at Welland has been awarded a Bib Gourmand for providing a good quality, good value cooking.

What the Michelin Guide says: "Take in delightful views of the Malvern Hills from the charming terrace of this country inn or, cosy up inside, in the understated New England style dining room. Well-presented modern dishes show plenty of flair and deliver punchy flavours, and there’s a wide choice of wines by the glass."

5. The Old Rectifying House

There is probably no better combination than cocktails and great food - and The Old Rectifying House does both extremely well.

Its vegan menu is as well thought out as its regular menu and is the only restaurant in Worcester city centre to make it into the guide.

What the Michelin Guide Says: "With shabby-chic décor, young chefs hard at work in the open kitchen, a cocktail list and a soundtrack of jazz, blues and soul, this mock-Tudor building overlooking the river brings a hipster vibe to Worcester. Appealing dishes have a British slant and there’s a well-thought-out vegan menu too."
