GENEROUS schoolchildren covered a life-sized Pudsey Bear with hundreds of pounds for Children in Need.

Students at St Peter’s Droitwich C of E Academy donated a whopping £232.70 by placing their loose change on a giant painting of the iconic mascot.

Lucy Mills, the Deputy Headteacher of the school, said: "It was the idea of the school council to create a painted Pudsey to collect and display the donations brought into school.

"The generosity of the children very nearly completely covered Pudsey, next time I think we might need a bigger Pudsey!"

Students supported the much loved fundraiser by donning their best Pudsey attire on Friday, November 19.

Outfits included t-shirts, pyjamas, Pudsey ears and face painted Pudsey spots.

The school's council created a life-sized painting and laid it on the floor of the school hall so the children's donations were on display throughout the day.
