A NEW bargain shop has opened up near Worcester city centre offering toys just in time for Christmas.

Discount outlet shop Boulevard Online has opened its doors in Shrub Hill Industrial Estate as well as two warehouses in Shrub Hill and Warndon.

The shops sells returns or items that cannot be sold because of damage to the packaging but not the product for heavily discounted prices.

Store manager Aaron Brown, from Warndon, said: "We had a really great Halloween with people buying their costumes.

Worcester News:

"The retail footfall here isn't that big but we feel that lots of parents will really benefit from the shop especially around Christmas.

"It has been a difficult year with covid but they will find some great discount items here.

"We check on eBay and Amazon for the items to make sure we undercut them."

Boulevard Online is owned by Dom Portman and was rebranded from Fancy Dress Worldwide.

Worcester News:

It sells toys, fancy dress costumes, party items, pet food, arts and crafts and more six days a week.

Many of the discounted items are well-known brands and the retail shop has been converted from offices.

Worcester News:

Boulevard Online as a whole has just under 60 staff members.

Mr Brown said they are hoping to attract more people to the shop from the High Street.

"We are about a three-minute walk from Asda car park.

"We've found that a lot of people who come here have been telling others about it.

"In one day we had seven referrals.

"We have the brands people know for example if they have a particular product like for example gaming headphones they will come in and be surprised how cheap they are."
