UP to 40 trees have been reported as having fallen across Worcestershire.

The County Council's highways department announced it was getting contractors out to as many of them as it could to help keep motorists on the move.

Storm Arwen lashed the county last night with high winds, rain and snow causing disruption on roads throughout.

Worcester News readers have been out sharing some of the trees they have seen brought down by the storm.

Craig Humphries sent us this one from the road between Tibberton and Oddingley:

Tina Davies' journey on Taylor's Lane, Norton, was stopped because of this fallen tree.

The Highways department shared another photo of a fallen tree, this time at the B4204 between Martley and Wichenford by Barbers Lane's junction near Martley school.

A large tree was also reported as having fallen down and damages power cables at Clevelode Lane in Guarlford.

In addition, the council shared details of some more of the trees they were hoping to have cleared throughout Saturday.

These include: A44 by Laylocks, A443 Witley Court, A4133 Holt Fleet, B4209 between Three Counties and Hanley Swan.
