POLICE have said they cycled 18 miles on the Malvern Hills as part of the search operation that found two girls who went missing on the Malvern Hills.
Police confirmed on Monday that the two girls, who went missing late Sunday night, had been found safe, albeit cold, after a night on the hills in freezing weather and had been reunited with their parents.
A tweet from Malvern Cops also revealed how they celebrated the good news after the search, writing: "After 18 miles of cycling the snowy Malvern Hills searching for missing children, no need to feel guilty celebrating them being found with a coffee and a slice of cake."
Posts were being widely shared on Facebook over the weekend from concerned relatives to try and find the girls.
Temperatures plummeted on Sunday night after Storm Arwen brought in wind, rain and even snow on top of the hills.
