THE team at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre have donated £1,000 to help make Christmas special for disadvantaged youngsters in Redditch.
The donation was made to the Christmas Toy Appeal, organised by St Stephen’s Church and the charity Acts of Kindness.
The appeal aims to provide new toys to children in Redditch who for various reasons may not normally receive a Christmas gift.
It has helped more than 600 children over the years and relies on the generosity of the Redditch community, who can leave gifts at donation hubs around the town, including the Kingfisher.
Ken Williams, general manager at Kingfisher Shopping Centre, said: “We are thrilled to be able to donate to the Christmas Toy Appeal this Giving Tuesday. It’s such a wonderful cause that is responsible for putting smiles on the faces of hundreds of children.”
Shoppers can donate unwrapped gifts at the Kingfisher until Tuesday December 14 at Guests Services.
