Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash on the M5 that caused huge delays and miles of traffic.
At 5:55am on Wednesday, December 1, emergency services were alerted to a crash on the M5 Southbound between junctions four and five, near Wychbold.
The crash involved a car and a van, with the car ending up under the central reservation.
West Mercia Police have now confirmed that the two drivers of the vehicles, a woman in her 30s and a man in his 20s, are not thought to have sustained "life-changing or life-threatening injuries".
A spokesman of Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three crews were sent to the scene, two from Bromsgrove and one from Droitwich, however upon arrival it was apparent the fire service was not required.
Highways England and West Midlands Ambulance were also in attendance.
The incident caused the motorway to be blocked heading south which led to a large build-up of traffic.
The two vehicles were safely removed and all lanes reopened shortly after 8:15am.
A police spokesman said: "We’d like to thank drivers for their patience and wish everyone a safe onward journey."
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnesses the crash to get in touch with information, which can be done by calling 101, quoting incident 056i of 1 December, 2021.
Alternatively, report it online.
