Worcester is getting ready for the annual Victorian Christmas market.

All throughout the city centre, stalls are being prepared for tomorrow when the market officially begins.

The is the latest Christmas event for the city following the switching on of the lights last weekend.

This year the event features live music, lots of independent vendors, a staged Victorian slum with singers and dancers greeting locals and even an event hosted by Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.

A stage has also been prepared in the Cathedral Square, for live performances

Chairwoman of Worcester City Council's place and economic development committee and councillor, Lucy Hodgson, previously said, “We're really looking forward to welcoming people to Worcester over the festive period.

“We'll be pulling out all the stops to make this Christmas extra-special and after a particularly challenging year, I urge everyone to buy local and support Worcester's traders this Christmas."
