An RGS Worcester pupil and his family enjoyed a day with his dream car, as a result of a school letter-writing exercise.

Year seven student, Peter Jackson, won the day with a Ford Mustang, by writing an aspirational application for a dream job to Worcestershire based car dealership, Hills Ford.

The project encouraged pupils to dream big, and many students received replies and gifts from the companies they applied to.

Peter expressed his ambition to become a car designer in the application, talking of his love of cars and his favourite vehicle being the iconic Ford Mustang.

His letter caught the eye of Stuart Murray, the Group Marketing Operations Director at Hills Ford.

Stuart said: “It was a pleasure to receive such an animated and enthusiastic letter from Peter.

“We thought it would be fitting to offer Peter and his family the use of a Mustang and help Peter's dream come true.”

Peter said, “It's amazing that Ford gave me a Mustang V8 for the day, the engine sounds incredible.

It's probably the best thing that has happened to me in my life and I think I’d quite like one of them for myself.

“I’d still like to be a car designer when I'm older so that I can design cars like this.”

Other students job applications for the project included NASA, Disney World, The Savoy Hotel, and various branches of the Police Force.
