A Worcestershire kennel is urgently trying to rehome this dog before Christmas.

Daisy is a 13-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, currently being cared for at the Senior Staffy Club kennel, at the Mayhouse Farm, in Hadley, Droitwich.

The organisation has rehomed over 500 staffies in nearly 10 years, and is specifically focused on rehoming staffies aged 7 or older.

The Senior Staffy Club feel staffies unjustly spend longer in kennels because of the negative perception of the breed, making up nearly two thirds of all dogs in kennels across the UK.

She was originally rescued after vets contacted her previous kennel when she was due to be put to sleep.

When she first arrived at the Senior Staffy Club’s Worcester Kennel, she had a severe case of kennel cough and received 10 days of steroids and antibiotics which helped her back to full health.

Daisy is looking for a home currently without another dog, and with children aged 14 and up.

Worcester News:

Behaviourist at the Senior Staffy Club, Caroline McQuoid-Guess, said, “We are really keen to get Daisy a new home before Christmas.

"We are doing the best we can in a less than ideal environment, but with the weather getting colder it is so important to try and re-home her.

She has not had any new applications yet, so we encourage anyone who meets Daisy's needed criteria to get in touch."

Daisy is fully microchipped, vaccinated, neutered and can be available to be rehomed to a loving new owner following a successful home visit and two visits to the kennel.

The adoption fee of £120 for Daisy and all money donated to the charity goes directly to helping the dogs in care at the facility.
