A “fabulous” county primary school has been nominated for a Worcestershire Education Award.

Flyford Flavell Primary School is in the running for the Early Years Education Award after being nominated by parent Vicky Davis.

“It is a fabulous school with the friendliest and most helpful staff, and is producing confident pupils even during this trying time,” she said.

“The staff are exemplary from afterschool and wraparound care, to a brilliant secretary and perfect teachers. This includes Pippins nursery.”

Headteacher Rosalind Brotheron said: “This is really wonderful, we’re absolutely delighted to be nominated and so proud of the team we have here. It’s great to see our focus on putting children first is being recognised.
