A WOMEN'S networking lunch group which meets on a monthly basis has decided to help support a Worcester-based bereavement charity.

The group of businesswomen, who meet to discuss business and exchange ideas, will be donating money raised by them in the next 12 months to the Noah's Art Trust.

Lorraine Tonks, co-founder of the networking group along with Dulcie Collins, said: "Support of the Noah's Ark Trust was borne out of the desire to be involved with a local charity that did not have the profile of some of the other charities and national charities.

"As they are in their 10th anniversary year it seemed very appropriate.

"It is a cause close to both mine and Dulcie's hearts and we have committed to offer our support for the next year.

"We raise funds through a monthly raffle and our members donate their goods and services as prizes."

The group meets at the Beckford Inn, which is between Tewkesbury and Evesham, and has around 24 women taking part.

Mary Irish, of the Noah's Ark Trust, said: "The value of networking cannot be underestimated and being part of the group helps to raise the profile of the Trust through personal contact.

"It is wonderful that Noah's Ark Trust is the charity chosen to benefit from all the events which will be held this year."

Noah's Ark, in conjunction with your Worcester News, is running a Towards A Brighter Future campaign so they can raise buy a base.
