A 'severe weather alert' has been issued by National Highways as snow and ice is expected in the West Midlands.
However, forecasters are currently predicting Worcestershire is likely to dodge the worst of the weather.
National Highways, which is responsible for motorways and major A-roads, has said the warning will remain in place until 6pm this evening.
A similar alert was put in place yesterday after the Met Office forewarned frequent sleet, hail and snow showers may lead to some disruption to travel during Thursday night and Friday morning.
The National Highways warning said: "There is a severe weather alert for snow affecting the North of England and the West Midlands throughout today until 6pm.
"Road users intending to travel through the affected regions are being advised to check the weather forecast and road conditions before travelling.
"National Highways is working closely with the Met Office in monitoring the weather conditions and due to the forecast we have issued a severe weather alert for snow.
We have issued a severe weather alert for forecasted heavy snowfall in the North of England and the West Midlands throughout today until 6pm.

Despite the cold start to the morning with temperatures teetering just three degrees above freezing, the current forecast for our county predicts cloudy patches with sunny intervals by late morning.
The weekend is set to be a more drab affair, with light rain persisting throughout the day tomorrow before changing to partly cloudy throughout Saturday evening and Sunday.
