A TOP city removals firm scored the job of a lifetime - moving a Premier League footballer.

A team from Warren's Removals helped to move West Ham footballer Michail Antonio into a new home in Manchester.

The footballer was moving within Manchester but called on Warrens, based over 100 miles away in Inkberrow, after hearing about their top reputation.

Director Warren Leggett said he was extremely proud of the way staff dealt with the complex four-day move.

"I got put in touch with him through charity work we both do with Libby Mae's Little Angels who told him about us.

"These kind of people go on recommendations rather than price.

"I'm obviously extremely proud they chose us and as a person that is what I want to get into, high profile moves.

"When I first started it was me and a little van and I never, ever expected to be moving Premier League footballers.

"I'm extremely proud of the team."

Antonio, 31, had his contract extended with West Ham until 2025 this week.

The 31-year-old also plays for the Jamaican national side.

Operations manager George Warr was involved on the day while Esther Womersley took control of all the planning.

Mr Warr said the team worked long hours to get the job finished during the December move.

"It was spread over four days whereas normal moves are on the day but that was down to the size of the houses, complexity and the number of items to be moved.

"They were very long days and it is a real credit to the team because it went smoothly.

"Even though he was only going seven minutes down the road it was a difficult move to plan and complete but it was great fun.

"What we tried to do is get some of the team who are football fans and the ones who support West Ham on the move.

"It was incredible. The family was absolutely amazing and couldn't have treated us better.

"For me, it has been a highlight of working here and for the rest of the team as well."
