IT has not been the smoothest of journeys for a Worcester television star who is appearing on Celebrity Coach Trip.

Though Worcester-born Ginny Lemon and teammate Sister Sister have made plenty of friends on the Channel 4 show there was a bump in the road last night (Thursday).

The Drag Race UK stars were handed their first yellow card with one vote from their "childhood icons" leaving them open-mouthed.

After previously clashing with actor Paul Danan announced he Olympian Ashley MacKenzie would be voting for the pair.

He said: "It's such a shame because today we have got on and had a lot of good chats and I thought it was really real and authentic.

"We've always made a pact that we want to stay loyal to certain people so it was you guys and I'm sorry about that but that's what we left with."

Ginny said: "Oh God yeah. I think we have definitely turned a corner and we've had a really great day today and we saw it coming, we've done it.

"That's totally fair dos and we totally accept that. Thank you for being honest."

They voted for James Tindale and Sophie Kasaei with Ginny saying: "We literally didn't think anyone else would vote for you."

Through tears, Ginny went on to explain it was a tactical decision to make sure people who have not got yellow cards so they could all spend more time together.

But Sophie and James revealed they would be returning the favour and voted for Ginny and Sister Sister.

"Oh you *******," joked Ginny as James delivered the news later saying they were glad to receive the vote because it was even.

But Ginny was left open-mouthed by the next vote they received from actresses Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph.

Linda said: "We love you but there's so many people who are vulnerable here it has been really really hard."

Ginny joked: "It's always nice to have your childhood icons try to send you home."
