A TAXI driver from Worcester has been accused of sexual assaults against two of his customers.

Shahid Riaz, who is no longer working as a taxi driver, is accused of two sexual assaults in Worcester.

The 36-year-old of Newtown Road, Worcester, denied both offences when he appeared at magistrates court on Thursday.

The alleged offences are said to have taken place on April 28 last year. Both complainants, who cannot be identified, are over the age of 16.

Mark Hambling appeared for the prosecution, Jason Patel for the defence.

The case was adjourned until February 22 for a further case management hearing.

Riaz was granted bail provided he lives and sleeps at the address provided to the court and does not have any contact, directly or indirectly, with prosecution witnesses.
