The Met Office once again has a Yellow weather warning in place for Worcester.

The warning, which is because of heavy fog, takes in large swathe of England including London, much of the Midlands and Yorkshire.

The fog was due to lift yesterday in Worcestershire but there are still heavy patches in some areas including on the M5, making for difficult driving conditions.

The Met Office’s weather warning says people should expect “imparied visibility leading to hazardous driving conditions in places, and probable slower journey times especially by road.

“Delays to bus and train services are possible. There is a chance of delays or cancellations to flights.”

Trains at Worcester Shrub Hill were delayed last night because of fog at the station. West Midlands Railway said the fog was obscuring signals.

National Trust Croome took to Twitter this morning to say most of yesterday’s fog had now lifted and that the parkland was starting to be visible again.

The Met Office is forecasting maximum temperatures of 6C for Worcester today, with the fog taking most of the morning to lift.

It said this evening won't be quite as cold or frosty as the past few days but there could still be temperatures as low as -1C.

Tomorrow looks set to be brighter, with sunny spells first thing and maximum temperatures of 8C, although we can also expect the odd rain shower.
