TWO Worcestershire schools have confirmed they have had coronavirus outbreaks.

Redhill CE Primary School and Nunnery Wood Primary School have confirmed they have been hit by the outbreaks in letters to parents on Monday, January 17.

Staff from Redhill CE Primary, in Midhurst Close, wrote in the letter: "We now have an outbreak of positive Covid cases within our Reception classes.

"After lengthy discussions with the Local Outbreak Response Team (LORT), we now have to put further measures in place to control the spread of the virus.

"We have been advised by LORT to “treat Reception as a bubble."

Among the measures the school was taking was for reception children to have breaks and lunchtimes away from the rest of the children at the school, and the cancellation of indoor PE.
