REPAIR works to pavements in two Worcester residential streets will see them closed to through traffic for the best part of four weeks from Monday, January 24.

Worcestershire County Council plans to close Cromwell Crescent and Livingstone Street in Battenhall from the junction with A44 London Road to its junction with Foxwell Street.

It’s expected the work will take 26 days to carry out.

Next month, in Warndon Villages, work to lay new ducting will mean the closure of Chedworth Drive from its junction with Cranham Drive to its junction with Rodborough Drive for about three weeks.

Keir Group plans to start work on Friday, February 11.

The following week, repairs to a water main next month by Severn Trent will see a residential street closed for about four days from St Valentine’s Day.

Beech Avenue will be closed from its junction with the A38 Droitwich Road to its junction with Beech Avenue North from Monday, February 14.

At the same time, Severn Trent workers will also be busy in Elbury Park Road in Tolladine, meaning it will be closed from its junction with Tolladine Road to its junction with Kirkstone Drive. Work is due to begin on Monday, February 14 and is set to last three days.

Finally, Hindlip Lane will be partially closed tomorrow (Tuesday, January 25) to allow county council workers to carry out tree maintenance.

The road will be shut to through traffic from its junction with Droitwich Road for about 700 metres, meaning traffic will have to use a diversion via Hurst Lane.
