TRAFFIC is building up on a main road into Worcester after a car and a taxi minivan crash.
Traffic is down to one lane on Whittington Road heading toward London Road.
Cars are backed up to Whittington Island and towards the motorway roundabout.
A blue van was being towed away and a car had its hazard lights on when the Worcester News went to the scene.
A police car and an unmarked police car are at the scene.
There was already delays along the road caused by temporary traffic lights on London Road.
Worcestershire Highways said: "Congestion on Whittington Road and London Road, Worcester due to a collision reducing traffic to one lane on Whittington Road and complications with BT works near Sebright Avenue, meaning traffic lights were not able to be removed as planned this afternoon."
