THE show must go on despite a Freddie Mercury tribute act having to pull out of a Blobbie Williams gig for health reasons.

Fatty Mercury will no longer be able to support Blobbie, aka Tony James, at Huntingdon Hall on Saturday (January 29).

He has had serious problems with his throat and voice forcing him to pull out of the city gig.

But it is a case of Don't Stop Me Now for Blobbie Williams who has promised fans an extended set with songs he has never performed live.

A statement on the Blobbie Williams page said: "We are sorry to announce that Fatty Mercury will no longer be the support act for Blobbie on Saturday at Huntington Hall.

"He has had to see a doctor due to a serious problem with his throat and voice. They have done checks and taken swabs and the results are expected soon!

"However it has left him unable to sing and although we are devastated he won’t be joining Blobbie and we wish him nothing but the best and a fast recovery!

"Blobbie has decided that it will now be a ‘Big Bumper Blobbie Bonanza’ and Blobbie will do the full evening with no support including hits from the early years including songs he’s never performed live before, swing classics and of course all of the big tunes you’d expect to hear from Blobbie Williams!

"Again we wish Fatty Mercury a speedy recovery and it leaves us all a massive responsibility to have an incredible time and make Worcester and Huntington Hall bounce like never before. Blobbie’s going FULL FAT!"

Robbie Willams tribute act Blobbie Williams has appeared on television shows including Keith & Paddy Picture Show and sang in front of his hero during the X Factor.

Tickets, costing £20, are available at worcestertheatres.co.uk/whats-on/blobbie-williams.
