GYM members are joining in the race against time to fulfil the final wish of a man with just weeks to live.
Lesley Harper, gym manager at Sanders Fitness, has organised the Malvern Hills Night Walk on Saturday evening (January 29).
Anyone can join the walk which will raise money for Droitwich couple Carol and Mike Hull's campaign to buy a mole mapping machine for Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
The couple, from Witton, want to raise £30,000 to buy the machine that will give other people a chance to spot melanomas earlier.
Mr Hull, aged 67, was first diagnosed with a melanoma in 2016 and his wife's goal is to buy the machine while her husband is still alive to see his efforts were successful.
Mrs Harper said: "Mike's daughter Kate is a member of our gym and I have been her personal trainer.
"When she comes here it is her escape.
"I spoke to her about it after following Mike's journey on social media and seeing it in the news.
"I said whatever we do we need to do quickly which is when we came up with the idea with the walk.
"We need to do everything we can do to get the money raised for Mike.
"I hadn't heard of the mole mapping machine before but I am surprised we don't have one already.
"Moving forward the impact it will have on people going through the same as Mike is huge."
The ten-mile walk will follow the Malvern Hills ridgeline and should take approximately 6 hours.
It will start to walk at 4pm and aim to finish around 10pm.
Walkers should meet at North Quarry car park at 3.15pm to allow time to transfer kit and people to the start point.
People should dress appropriately and wear footwear suitable for the terrain as well as bring a headtorch along with food and drink.
To join the walk or for more information, call Sanders Gym on 01905 779093.
