There are major delays on the M5 following a vehicle fire.
Long queues of traffic have begun building up on the M5 and M6 due to a vehicle fire near the interchange.
The incident is likely to affect anyone commuting to or from Birmingham.
West Midlands Roads have said that multiple lanes are blocked.
As such drivers should expect heavy delays and are advised to avoid this route.
A tweet from National Highways read: "Lanes 1 and 2 are closed on the #M5 southbound between the #M6 and J1 #WestBromwich due to a car fire.
"Delays are building back onto the M6 in both directions.
"Please allow extra time if travelling in the area this morning."
