DogFriendly is an online website that details locations and venues across the UK that are suitable for dogs.
The site has more than 50,000 businesses registered on their databases, and the information is gathered by contacting every hotel and pub on the search directory once a year to ensure that they are still dog friendly.
Jamie King, Manager of The Cardinal's Hat, said: " I think every pub should do it. At the end of the day, it just brings everyone together.
We have a lot of dogs on the weekend especially, people love bringing them out for a drink.
Everyone has pets and everyone loves coming down to the pub so it’s a great way to serve more of the local community.
Chairman of the communities committee at Worcester City Council, Councillor James Stanley, has also said he is in favour of seeing more dog-friendly venues in Worcester.
Cllr Stanley said: "As a dog owner myself, I am always more than happy to find local establishments in our city that are dog friendly.
"I am in favour of public houses remaining compliant with animal welfare laws but obviously that is down to the individual establishments.
"I think if our pubs are able to offer this for dog owners throughout the community then, it should most certainly be applauded."
According to the Blue Cross, there is no law or any health and safety regulations that ban dogs from being in premises where food and drink is served or sold.
However, they must not enter areas where food is prepared, handled or stored.
It is up to the owner whether they’d like to welcome dogs.
