A MUM says her son "must have been shining down on her" as a missing precious earring containing her son’s ashes has been found against the odds.

Becci O’Mara has thanked people who took part in the search for the "priceless" item, made to remember her son.

James was just 13 when he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukaemia, Acute Myeloid, at Worcestershire Royal Hospital in June 2017. He was transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital but tragically died after battling the disease for a week.

James’ mum Becci said her mum gave her the earrings with the ashes in for her birthday last year.

Worcester News:

After only wearing them a couple of times Miss O'Mara said she was distraught she could not find one of the earrings after a night out to the Goodrest pub on January 22.

Sharing the good news Miss O'Mara said she was the one that found the earring last Friday, (February 4).

Miss O'Mara said: "Thinking to myself let’s have another look for my special earring, finally found it in a small crack at the front of my sisters house. How I found it is beyond me."
