An American bakery chain that claims to make the world’s best cinnamon rolls will not be coming to Worcestershire.

It had been announced that Cinnabon would be among the brands coming to Pinvin Services, which opened last year.

Cinnabon has hundreds of stores across the US and a growing number in the UK, mostly based at service stations or inside Asda stores.

But Pinvin is not about to be added to that list, despite the Cinnabon name being featured on signs outside the service station.

EG Group, the retailer that owns and runs Pinvin Services, said it was focussing on using the available space at Pinvin to focus on its “grocery and merchandise offering” due to the popularity of its Asda on the Move store with customers.

But some customers are going to be disappointed not to get their cinnamon fix at Pinvin. Some have already expressed their annoyance on social media.

Cinnabon’s UK Twitter account today said there had been plans to open a Pinvin bakery but these had been “put on hold for the time being” and that Cinnabon signage would be removed from the site.
