WORLD Book Day has finally arrived – and as usual, our youngsters will still be getting dressed up as their favourite literary character to take part.

And if you share your pictures to show off their efforts, you’ll be able to get a copy of a special supplement next week to keep as a memento.

Children in and around Worcester will be dusting off their magic wands and finding their fairy wings for the annual celebration of reading and writing.

It's easy to send us your picture – just click here.

Usually it means children of all ages going to school dressed up as witches, wizards, pirates and princesses and other literary characters, as well as those who have a slightly different challenge, such as dressing up as a word!

We’re producing a special supplement on Tuesday, March 8, to show off your children in their costumes and we’ve included here a selection of pictures sent in by readers over the past few years.

To see your children pictured in the supplement, simply upload your picture here. Or you can email it to our community content editor, barry.kinghorn@newsquest.co.uk. The closing date for you to send in your images is Sunday, March 6.

Please include your child’s name, their age, and the character they are dressed as with your picture.
