VIDEO footage captured from a garden captures the sinister moment two men lie in wait for a woman walking her dog, before snatching the french bulldog from her.

Caroline Busby was walking her french bulldog, Luna, when two men took the dog from her and ran.

CCTV footage shows the men hiding around the corner as Ms Busby walked her dog through an alleyway.

When she came out, they knelt down and pretended to stroke Luna but were actually unhooking the lead from her collar so that they could take her.

Ms Busby said: "I walked past them a few minutes earlier and I didn't think anything of them, but you wouldn't, would you?

"I thought maybe they were doing their shoelaces or something.

"My Luna got to the corner first.

"When I got to the corner I looked and they were stroking her and I'm not joking they were as quick as lightning.

"They took that lead off her and they were gone, I couldn't even chase them."

Luna was taken from Elgar Avenue.

Her daughter, Kirsty Groves, added: "You can see on the CCTV that they are crouched down, waiting for her to come around the corner.

"We've not slept.

"My Mum's dog is my Mum's best friend, she's not just a dog.

"She's a defenceless 60-year-old woman, it's so unfair."

"We're going to go around Malvern and put posters through some letterboxes and in shops.
