A POPULAR tourist spot that provides an Instagram-worthy backdrop has revealed when it may open this year.

Tourists and photographers can visit the Confetti Fields in Wyke Manor Estate, Wick, near Pershore, with plans to open the site from Friday, July 1.

The dates will not be confirmed until early summer when the owners can see how well the flowers have grown.

Confetti Fields' owners have tentatively pencilled in ten days for visitors to see the colourful fields until Sunday, July 10.

Sharing a picture to Instagram, the company said: "Celebrating English Tourism Week! The theme is “You’re Welcome” and indeed we are very excited to welcome you back to the #confettifields this summer - we are working towards opening to the public from 1st – 10th July 2022.

"This will be confirmed in the early summer when we know how the flowers are growing."

For a few days every year in the summer, the farm transforms into a colourful field of an array of different flowers, especially delphinium and cornflowers.

Once the flowers are in full bloom, many visitors love to take advantage of the Instagram worthy backdrop for their social media platforms.

The hashtag #confettifields has over 11,000 photos added to it.

Business owner Charlie Hudson came up with the idea of creating a  real flower confetti field almost 25 years ago.

And over the years, Mr Hudson has created a bespoke process that involves drying petals to give them the confetti aesthetic.

Mr Hudson said he chose delphiniums and cornflowers because they can retain their colour and shape once dried.

Many visitors have left reviews online praising the fields and even dubbing it as a bucket list attraction in the UK.

One visitor left a review on TripAdvisor which said: "Beautiful flowers and setting with friendly and helpful staff.

"Definitely one for the UK bucket list!

"Covid friendly and easy parking as well as flowers and refreshments on site to purchase."

Another visitor said: "I love the confetti fields! Arrived at 10am and was one of the first cars in so I was able to enjoy the fields for a little while with very few visitors around. I also went on the Monday morning so that probably helped.

"I was able to take some maternity photos with no one around me and then proceeded to walk around enjoying the flowers and the view from the viewing platform.

"I stayed to have some coffee and cake, and was there for around 90 minutes, although on my way out, I realised I missed the wildflower section which I was a bit gutted about, and totally my own fault lol.

"Keeping an eye out for the sunflower field opening later!"
