A POPULAR countryside pub that closed after the death of its beloved landlady is to reopen on Friday.
The Mug House has been closed since the death of landlady Judy Allen earlier this month.
The landlady was a popular and familiar face having been at the Claines pub for three decades.
Son Russell Allen told Worcester News he had been inundated with calls and messages of condolences from people wanting to pay tribute to his mum when the news was shared.
The family took the decision to close the pub, with Mr Allen telling us it would be "until further notice" and he was unsure when it would reopen with him at the helm.

Now the Mug House team has said: "The Mug House will be reopening tomorrow (Friday) from noon - all day.
"However the kitchen won't be opening until Monday.
"Look forward to seeing you all. Many thanks, the mug house team."
Mr Allen said earlier this month: "Nobody can fill mum's shoes.
"I'm having a meeting with the brewery who might make the decision for me but I also need to think about what I want to do.
"At the moment I feel like I want to carry on for Claines and for mum."
