Famous impressionist, actress and singer Christina Bianco is excited to be visiting Malvern for the first time to perform in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice.

Bianco is a two time Drama Desk Award nominee and will be performing alongisde Shibna Gulati and Ian Kelsey.

Bianco said: "I am very excited about Malvern.

"I have never been before but it's one of those places that people have told me I should visit for a long, long time.

"I fully intend on visiting all three town centres and shopping around because the pictures of malvern are so beautiful.

"I know I can't explore it all in one trip but I certainly have a list of things I would like to do."

This tour is Bainco's first tour since performing as a solo artist before the covid pandemic.

She added: "I think every single person in this company is just so grateful.

"We are grateful to be back doing what we love and to have this shared experience with an audience.

"The audience are showing up and you can tell how much people have missed live entertainment.

"The support and enthusiasm is already very clear and it only makes it more enjoyable for us because we love what we do but we can't do it without an audience.

"It's been three cities so far and malvern I'm anticipating will be similar.

"At the risk of sounding really, really enthusiastic this show really has something for everyone.

"Within this one play, you have some incredible slapstick comedy, you haver really tragic Shakesperean-esque monologues written by the great Jim Cartwright who writes such beautiful Northern dialogue.

"So you get drama, comedy and you alos get some romance and then the incredible music that is the core of Little Voice from classic artists that appeals to a wide audience."

Bianco added: "I would also like to say that as somebody who has performed as a solo artist for so many years, I have absolutely alwsays relished the opportunity to work with incredible actors.

"Working with Shibna Gulati and Ian Kelsey is absolutely fantastic.

"They are both superb actors and incredible people so any time I have a scene with them it's just a joy."

The show will be at Malvern Theatres from Monday, April 11 to Saturday, April 16.
