A SPECIAL dog-grooming event is taking place at a county garden centre this month.
MacArthur, Barstow and Gibbs' The Pet Spa is holding a charity dog wash to raise money for the Senior Staffy Club and takes place inside Webbs of Wychbold on Tuesday, April 19.
Louise, Sara and Ellie from The Pet Spa will be bathing and blow-drying dogs with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the charity.
Senior Staffy Club Rescue is a volunteer-run registered charity dedicated to rescuing and rehoming more mature (seven years and over) Staffordshire Bull Terriers and crosses.
A spokesperson said: "The Pet Spa has been open for four years and we felt like we wanted to do something to give back to the local community in the form of a charity dog wash.
"We will be bathing and drying dogs for just £5 (short haired breeds only) from 9am - 7pm."
