A popular smokehouse restaurant has a new permanent home at a riverside Worcester bar.

Fat Eddie’s Smokehouse has announced they have a new permanent Worcester branch at the Severn Vue Bar, on Newport Street.

A date for the opening of the restaurant has yet to be confirmed by the Fat Eddie's Team, who have teased updates on their social media platforms.

The restaurant already has a location situated in the car park of The Lock Inn, on Wolverley Road in Kidderminster.

The restaurant is famous for its 7-hour ‘Smoked Brisket Stack’ and ‘Bishops’ famous big burgers.

Ed Vickery, the owner of Fat Eddie's, said: " I went to sixth form in Worcester and always loved the city.

"We set this business up during the pandemic and I always said that if we were able to move to a city it would always be Worcester.

"We are all about providing good quality, locally sourced food, and all of our product is sourced from nearby businesses.

"We are actually also looking for a local, independent vegetable supplier in the area as well so if anyone is interested please do contact us"

Worcester residents are already excited about the opening of the new location.

Sean Mulvey, from Worcester, said: "I cannot wait for this to open, it will be a great new venue for Worcester.

"I have visited The Lock Inn in Wolverley to try their burgers and the menu is amazing."

According to its website, all the meat, fruit and vegetables are locally sourced, with the restaurant's mission statement being "stay safe, shop local, support local business”.

The restaurant will be open to customers on a walk-in basis, with private bookings also available and a private balcony venue for hire.

Fat Eddie's has confirmed the restaurant will also be serving takeaway food as well.
