A POPULAR wine shop in Worcester city centre is expanding.

Bottles Wine Shop, located in Reindeer Court, has one of the most varied collections of wines, spirits, ciders and beers in the city.

The team at Bottles announcedthe store will be extending space above the shop for a 'drink in' service and will also be extending opening times.  

A spokesperson for Bottles said: "After lots of lovely feedback and the growing success of our wine shop we will now be extending our opening times and utilising the gorgeous space within and above the shop for a full ‘drink in’ service.

"Customers will have access to our full range of wines to drink in the comfort of our classic wine shop."

The shop is also providing outdoor seating for the approaching summer nights.

Bottles also has Bottles Deli & Rotisserie in Reindeer Court, as well as Bottles Wine Bar & Merchants in New Street.

The shop also sells wine and other alcoholic beverages online on its website.

Richard Everton, the founder of Bottles Wine Bar & Merchants, is the third generation of his family in the trade.

Richard has spent his entire life working in the wine industry, having travelled the world, working in wineries and vineyards for many years.

The Everton family previously ran 21 independent wine shops and delicatessens around the West Midlands, as well as a large wholesale business, supplying trade customers all over the UK.

The wholesale branch, Worcester Wine, supplies local bars, clubs and restaurants with its merchandise.

The Everton family have over 100 years of experience working in the wine trade, dating back to 1918.
