New data shows all of the crimes that were reported to police in Worcester in February.

The latest figures from West Mercia Police show that the most common type of crime reported throughout the month was violence and sexual offences.

There were more than double the number of these types of crimes (366) than the next most common type of crime - anti-social behaviour (173).

In the month before the Knife Angel came to Worcester, there were eight 'possession of weapons' offences reported in the city.

There were 11 bicycle thefts, four robberies and four thefts from a person dealt with by officers.

There were 99 public order offences in Worcester, 66 acts of criminal damage or arson and 61 times when someone was caught shoplifting.

The data also shows where crimes took place in the city, with nine crimes reported at Worcester hospitals including anti-social behaviour, theft, violent and sexual offences, and public order offences.

According to the data 12 incidents took place at nightclubs, most of them classified either as violence and sexual offences or as anti-social behaviour.

Robbery reported at Worcester petrol station

One of the most common locations listed by police is ‘shopping area’. Shoplifting is the most common crime recorded in those areas but officers also had to deal with burglaries, bicycle thefts, cases of criminal damage and a robbery.

Another robbery is listed as taking place at a petrol station in Worcester but was far from being the only crime to take place at such a location.

Thefts, public order offences, violent and sexual offences, criminal damage and even a drugs crime are listed as happening at petrol stations.

Four offences took place at further or higher education buildings - three were public order offences and one was a violent or sexual offence.

There were 28 incidents reported at supermarkets in Worcester, most of them for shoplifting.

Four incidents happened at theatres and concert halls - one anti-social behaviour offence, a burglary, a bicycle theft and one other theft.
