IT’S one of life’s truisms that as one door closes, another opens, and that’s certainly been the case for customers of Recharged Automotive.
Because the business, which has been running for about a year on the Checketts Lane industrial estate is one which built on another highly successful engineering outfit in the city.
Recharged boss Olly McLean said: “We purchased the business from Charles Adrian Automobile engineering, who was looking to retire after a successful 40 years.

“This would have left his customers requiring to find a new repair workshop, so we bought the business to ensure that they still have a trusted place they could come.
“After a successful first year trading we continue to maintain all his previous customers and are striving to become a dealer alternative for German branded vehicles.”
The vehicle repair garage specialises in German models and has dealer-level tooling for the Volkswagen/ Audi range but Olly and his team are also proud of becoming EV and hybrid specialists, and are not averse to applying their skills to non-German motors, as in when they restored a classic Saab 93 for one of their longstanding customers.
And they do their bit for the community too, supporting and maintaining the Worcester Wheels charity buses.
