Motorists have been warned to secure their vehicles after attempted thefts at a new housing development in Worcester.

A man was seen acting suspiciously around vehicles at Weogoran Park, off Whittington Road.

The incident occurred between 1.30am and 2.30am on Saturday, April 30

The man was seen shining a torch on several vehicles parked on residential drives, as well as trying the door handles.

Police have warned motorists to take extra precautions as a result.

Officer Sarah Hughes said: "Please make sure all your vehicles are left secure and all valuables taken out of your car/van if possible.

"We are also encouraging the community to call us on 101 if they see anyone acting suspiciously around a vehicle.

"Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime."
