A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We’d like to apologise to anyone affected by a burst to a 4” water pipe in Foregate Street, Worcester, last week.

"Our teams worked hard to get everything back to normal as quickly as possible and the repair was made the same day.

"Again, we’re really sorry for any inconvenience this caused.”

Severn Trent Water teams attended on May 4, and the repair was completed the same day. The site was fully cleared as of May 6.

First Bus said that the leak had not caused much of an issue to bus services, despite there being a busy bus stop near to where the leak was reported.
