A VARIETY of crocheted post box toppers have been cropping up across Worcestershire.
A mysterious yarn bomber has updated the post box toppers on Northwick Road, with a new theme.
Scenes honouring the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee have replaced the Easter-themed post box toppers.
Outside of Northwick Manor Primary School, the post box has been topped with a crocheted scene with the Queen and a Queen’s Guard with the crown jewels resting on a pillow in front of them.
The number 70 is stood behind the two figures and the post box is circled with red, white and blue bunting.
Further along Northwick Road, just off of Beckett Road, there is another topper with a similar scene.
However, this time the Queen is sat on top of a stunning cake decorated with a “70” with a Queen’s Guard on either side of her.
The final post box topper in the Northwick area is just off Bevere Close.
This topper also has the Queen and a Queen’s Guard crocheted onto it, but this time they are stood in front of a giant version of the crown jewels, again with red white and blue bunting and a “70” symbol crocheted on the crown.
In a different part of Worcestershire, a new post box topper has appeared in Upton on Old Street.
The post box is just outside of Bar 7, next to a telephone box and has a scene of crocheted mice dancing around a Maypole.
The topper is hemmed with different coloured flowers and all of the mice are in unique outfits with miniature hats on their heads.
