NEW forever homes are needed for 'golden oldie' dogs in Worcestershire this month.

The Dogs Trust centre in Evesham serves as a temporary home for dogs who are looking for new owners.

These adorable pooches have their paws crossed that they will find a brand-new loving home soon.

Chris Slight, Manager at Dogs Trust Evesham, has been keen to highlight four dogs all looking for loving homes in their twilight years.

Mr Slight said: “All the dogs this month are what we call golden oldies – or OAPs (Old Age Pooches)!

"Although in their twilight years they still have so much love to give. They’re all looking forward to a brand-new adventure and can’t wait to settle down with their forever families.

"We’d encourage families that are looking for a canine companion to consider giving an older dog a second chance.”

Rascal has been described as a really friendly, dog who loves going out for walks in quiet areas and enjoys having a play with his toys.

He would require a moderately busy home where he will have access to a secure garden.

Rascal needs an adult-only home and is comfortable with visitors, and would also appreciate a home not overly busy with other animals.

He has previously been left for a few hours and once settled in his new home, should be comfortable to settle for a similar amount of time.

As a crossbreed, it would be beneficial for his new owners to have experience or knowledge of Lakeland Terriers and all of the traits associated with this breed.

Bobby has been described as a friendly dog looking for his perfect retirement home.

He loves tennis balls, treats and is looking for a quiet home that can relax in.

He must have a secure garden would need to be the only pet in the home.

He is suitable to live with secondary school-aged children and once settled, would be happy to welcome visitors of the same age and upwards.

He would benefit from living in an area that isn't extremely busy with other dogs as this can be a worry for him.
