ROADWORKS have been causing delays on a key city route this morning.
Temporary traffic lights and a contraflow system has been set up on the A440 in Racefield Meadow, between the Newtown Road/B4636 roundabout and Dugdale Drive roundabout.
An eyewitness caught in queuing traffic has taken a picture of the barriers and cones in the road.
She said: "It was horrendous.
"There was long queuing traffic which was frustrating as we hadn't been given any warning."
And Google Maps is showing a dark red line indicating the queuing problems.
The roadworks are for utility repair and maintenance works, beginning today and continuing until Wednesday, May 25.
