Two men will appear in court charged with burglary after luxury items were stolen from university accommodation. 

Two men appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 29 and were bailed to attend Worcester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 8.

Over £1,700 worth of luxury items were taken from Sharukh Shaik's accommodation in Albany Court, Lowesmoor.

Mohammed Hussain, 34, of no fixed address, has been charged in connection with the burglary and four counts of fraud. 

Stephen Grant, 28, of Heenan Court is charged in connection with the burglary, three counts of fraud and failing to supply a sample for a drug test.

A spokesperson from the West Mercia Police said: "Two men have been charged after an incident in Worcester.

"Officers received a report of a burglary at a property in Albany Court that was discovered on Sunday 24 April.

"It was reported to officers around 10 am on Wednesday 27 April.

"Following enquiries, two suspects were arrested later that day and a third suspect was arrested on Thursday 28 April.

"A thorough investigation took place and full support was offered to the victim.

"Two men were subsequently charged and one was released with no further action.

"Mohammed Hussain, 34, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary and four counts of fraud.

"Stephen Grant, 28, of Heenan Court, Worcester was charged with burglary, three counts of fraud and failing to supply a sample for a drug test."
