POLICE have increased patrols near two train stations amid ongoing antisocial behaviour.

Officers from Arun Police have stepped up their presence in Barnham and Angmering following public reports of antisocial behaviour near the train stations.

Police said foot patrols have increased to combat the issue.

“We’ve increased our patrols in Barnham and Angmering, and around the train stations following reports of antisocial behaviour,” a police spokesman said.

“We have also contacted our colleagues at British Transport Police to ensure they are aware.

“Some of our team conducted mobile and foot patrols to try and identify those responsible. Happy to report that all was in order. Patrols will continue over the coming days.

Earlier this week, police conducted patrols in a residential area in Bognor following reports of suspicious activity.

Officers from Arun Police stepped up their presence in and around Longford Road after reports of a man cold calling at properties.

Meanwhile, Adur and Worthing Police increased their presence in and around Ferry Road, Shoreham, follow reports of concern from members of the public about antisocial behaviour.
