A DYING woman's final wish to visit the beach has been answered, not once but twice.
Debbie Lacey, who has terminal cervical cancer, has been gifted two holidays after friends appealed for help.
Friends of Debbie Lacey, Nikki Burfitt and Trudy Gormley stepped in to raise the money after Debbie said one of her final wishes was to visit the beach and 'feel the sand between her toes.'
Mrs Lacey, from Tolladine, said she was grateful for the kindness the community had shown her and is happy to be able to spend 'worry-free precious time' with her family.
Caravan company JSS caravan has gifted Mrs Lacey a short weekend to Brean at a beach of her choice, and Mrs Lacey has chosen a short weekend away due to her health.
Mrs Gormley said: "JSS caravan donated 100 per cent of the money for the holiday.
"We can't thank everyone enough, people have been so kind.
"Debbie was over the moon and couldn't believe it.
"She just wants to spend some worry-free precious time with her family."

The friends are planning to surprise Mrs Lacey with the news of a second holiday.
A member of the public, who wishes to remain anonymous, has given Mrs Lacey a holiday in Taunton at their holiday home.
Mrs Gormley said: "We're going to surprise her with it. She knows about one holiday, but not the other."
Initially, the target was £500, but the organisers have now doubled their target to £1,000.

Mrs Gormley said: "We are overwhelmed with the support we are getting. We wanted to raise £500 in total, and we would have been happy with that.
"We are trying to find someone that prints big cheques now, and we want to present her with the cheque.
"The family are so overwhelmed and thankful, none of them can believe it, it's been so lovely."
Organisers including Mrs Gormley are holding a charity fundraiser on Saturday, June 11 at The Tolly Hub in Tolladine.
